Implosion is a 12+ action game set twenty years after Earth fell, when the last human defence is a single battle suit. The premise is survival: the suit has to face a mysterious life form called the XADA.
The listing presents it as a story-led game for people who want console-style action on a phone. The story and the fights are the main draw, with the battle suit at the centre of both.
The player controls the War-Mech series III suit and uses a range of what the listing calls super-tech weaponry. The weapons are the core of each fight against the XADA.
Controls are touch-based, so movement and attacks are handled on the screen itself. The listing describes the suit as the player's direct way of fighting through each mission.
Weapons are upgraded through a system the listing calls the ARK Kernel. Upgrades are how the suit's arsenal grows across the campaign.
The listing frames the upgrades as making the pilot a fusion of human and machine, which is the game's stated goal.
Missions 1-1 to 1-6 are free to play. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks all remaining levels, so there is no subscription in the listing.
Progress can be saved with Google Play Save Games. Signing in to a Google Play account through the Options menu turns this on, so saves can carry over using that account.
The listing advertises full voice acting and film-style audio production. The developer describes the sound as a major part of the experience.
The orchestral score is credited to John Kurlander, whom the listing identifies as a Grammy Award winner and an engineer on The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
