Into the Hole is a puzzle game from VOODOO, listed under Puzzle and rated Everyone. The board is filled with colored blocks, and the player controls colored holes that move through it.
It suits people who want a puzzle built around one kind of action, where the skill lies in choosing which hole to send first and in what order.
Each turn you tap one hole to release it, and it travels across the board without further input. On the way it rolls and bounces, and it takes in every block of its own color that lies along its route.
A single release can clear a run of matching blocks, so the board empties in stages rather than one block at a time.
Five empty spaces beside the board hold holes that have not been released yet. Each one waits its turn until you tap it.
Every path changes the layout, so the next release depends on what the previous one cleared. Planning the order of taps is the main decision in the game.
The round is won by collecting every block on the board. The round is lost if the empty spaces in the middle fill up before that happens.
The game therefore asks you to keep the center open while working through the remaining blocks.
