Looking up the forms of an Italian verb
Italian conjugation is a lookup tool for Italian verb forms. You type a verb, choose it from the suggestions, and the full set of conjugations appears for that verb. The developer lists more than 8,000 verbs in the database, and the listing describes the app as free.
The lookup is aimed at people who need a specific form quickly: a learner checking an ending, a teacher preparing material, or someone who wants to confirm a form before writing it. The listing adds that native speakers use it too.
Indicative, subjunctive and conditional tenses
The indicative section covers presente, imperfetto, passato remoto, futuro semplice, passato prossimo, trapassato prossimo, trapassato remoto and futuro anteriore. Each verb is shown across all of these, so a single search answers questions about any of the eight tenses.
The subjunctive, or congiuntivo, is listed in presente, imperfetto, passato and trapassato. The conditional is listed in presente and passato.
Imperative, gerund, participles and infinitive
The same lookup also gives the imperative, the gerund, the participles and the infinitive. These sit alongside the finite tenses, so the non-finite forms do not need a separate search.
Together, these forms cover most of what a learner needs to build a sentence from a single verb.
Irregular, -isc- and reflexive verbs
The listing names irregular verbs essere, avere, andare and fare as examples the app handles. It also covers -isc- verbs such as finire, where the form changes to finisco, and reflexive verbs such as alzarsi.
For compound tenses, the listing says the auxiliary verbs essere or avere are included, so the reader does not have to work out which one to use.
