What the Korean dictionary is for
Jaemy is a Korean dictionary built around keeping the words you look up, not only finding their meanings. Its entries pair Korean with English and ten more languages, and the listing names TOPIK exam preparation as one of its uses.
Lookup is the starting point. Saved words then feed a review system, so the dictionary and the study tools work as one loop.
Searching Korean without a Korean keyboard
You can type a query in English or in romanization (romaja), so no Korean keyboard is needed. The listing also gives speaking a word, writing it by hand, and pointing the camera at Korean text as ways to search.
Each entry shows hanja (Sino-Korean) roots, a TOPIK level and the part of speech, with native audio in male and female voices. Every meaning comes with bilingual example sentences. A verb conjugator and grammar notes sit alongside, and the dictionary works offline.
Saving words to a notebook and custom lists
One tap adds a word to your notebook. You can sort those words into lists of your own, and your search history stays available for going back to earlier lookups.
Reviewing words with spaced-repetition flashcards
The "Review today" screen shows only the saved words you are about to forget, so a session covers the items that need attention. The listing says a few minutes a day keeps a streak going.
A progress screen shows which words you have mastered. Review draws on the words you saved, which is why the lookup and notebook features come before it.
What's new
• New setting to hide romanization (romaja) so you can practice reading Hangul.
• Minor bug fixes.
