Jestem: Learn Polish Words

Learn Polish words with Jestem: Polish flashcards with pictures and audio, plus false friends, the words that look like Russian or Ukrainian words but mean something else. Translations in English, Russian or Ukrainian, so you can learn Polish vocabulary in your own language.

Each session is short: new cards, reviews and a quick exercise. Topics follow real life in Poland: first conversations, shopping, home, transport, work, offices and documents, health and money. There are 64 topics and 1,722 illustrated cards on a path from the basics to harder levels. You can start from zero.

Choose English, Russian or Ukrainian for translations and change it in your profile any time. The app itself speaks English, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian. The false-friend sets are written separately for each language, because Polish trips Russian and Ukrainian speakers up in different places.

ADS AND PURCHASES
Jestem shows ads. A short full-screen ad can appear after some practice rounds, never when you open the app. Watching an optional ad earns you a streak freeze or lifts the daily review limit for a while. Jestem Pro removes ads, removes that limit and adds the 60-second Speed run mode. It is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a single payment, all through Google Play. Topics and daily practice stay available without Pro.

FAQ
Do I need to know any Polish? No. You can start from zero, and the starting check suggests where to begin.

Does it work without internet? Cards, pictures and exercises are stored in the app. Ads and purchases need a connection. Polish speech uses the voice on your phone, so offline playback needs that voice downloaded.

What is limited without Pro? Spaced review has a daily limit on cards. Learning new topics from the deck is not limited.

How do I cancel Pro? Open Google Play, then Subscriptions. A one-time purchase has nothing to cancel.
