Kids Music: Piano, Xylo, Drums

A preschool music game for toddlers and young children

Kids Music: Piano, Xylo, Drums is a music game for babies and preschoolers, built around the Lucas and Friends characters. The developer rates it for ages 3 and up. Its core is a set of tappable instruments, with mini-games and songs added around them.

The listing describes the app as free and ad-free, with a bright design aimed at toddlers. It names parents and educators as its audience, and it suggests use at home, in classrooms and on the go.

Playing piano, xylophone, drums and other instruments

Children can tap piano, xylophone, drums, electric guitar, flute, trumpet and saxophone. The listing says the touch controls are simple enough for small hands and that the sounds are realistic. Music Room is a free space for trying the instruments and building your own songs.

Mini-games that turn tapping into play

Car Mode lets a child choose one of four cars, drive along a road and collect musical notes, which then play back as a melody. Touch the Fish has swimming fish that make playful sounds when tapped, which the listing describes as a way to make underwater tunes.

Musical Balloon Pop asks children to pop balloons to the beat, which the listing links to rhythm and coordination. Music Trail has them tap notes in order to make a song, a activity the listing ties to better listening.

Animal and vehicle sounds, songs and rhymes

Animal and vehicle sounds include roars, chirps and honks, mixed into the music. The app also includes nursery rhymes and kids songs. In Music Band Mode, Lucas and friends perform together while a child plays different instruments.

Early music and learning skills the listing names

The listing says play builds memory, focus and coordination, along with creativity and the ability to recognize sounds, patterns and colors. It also lists early rhythm, pitch and tempo skills among its aims. These are the developer's stated goals.
