The electronic patient file (ePA) for KKH insured
By Mei-Lin Chua

KKH ePA is the app from Kaufmännische Krankenkasse (KKH) for health records and prescriptions, aimed at KKH insured people. Its main part is the electronic patient file (ePA), a digital store for your health data.
The ePA holds a collection of documents and findings about your health. The app is the way you open that file on your phone. Prescription handling sits alongside it in the same app.
The build we hold is KKH ePA 3.3.1 (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.

You can keep important documents from the ePA within reach, and manage the contents of the file yourself. The app lets you add to and organise what is stored there.
Access rights are set from the app, so you decide who may see which parts of the file. You can also review a record of accesses to the file, which shows when the file has been opened.
The e-prescription function (E-Rezept) lets you redeem prescriptions directly in the app. You can open an overview that lists open prescriptions and ones that have already been redeemed.
A search function shows the pharmacies closest to you, so you can find a place to redeem a prescription.
After installation, a welcome tour takes you through the app's areas and functions, including the ePA and e-prescriptions. The listing says the app offers more functions beyond these two.
The app also links to a set of recommended services, which it opens for you from within the app.
