What the Korean stories cover
Korean Reading: TTMIK Stories is a library of original Korean stories, more than 1,000 in total, sorted into 10 levels. The subjects run from everyday life and Korean culture to business and mystery.
It suits people learning Korean who want to build reading ability by working through continuous text, with the level set so each story is pitched at the reader's stage.
Looking up words and grammar while reading
Tapping any word shows its meaning straight away. Each sentence comes with a translation and a grammar note that explains why the sentence is built the way it is, not only what it says.
A reader stuck on a passage can check the vocabulary and the grammar behind it without working them out from a separate dictionary.
Following narration by voice actors
Each story is narrated by professional voice actors, and the listing presents the audio as a way to train the ear on natural Korean pronunciation and intonation.
Listening is one step in a sequence that also includes reading, writing and review.
Writing, quizzes and flashcards from your reading
After reading, the writing step asks you to restate what you learned in your own words, which the listing describes as moving from passive reading to active use of Korean.
Quizzes and flashcards are built from the stories you have already read, so the words you review come from text you have met in context.
Streaks, progress and certificates
The Challenge section tracks your streak and overall progress through the stories. It also awards certificates that show how far you have come.
These sit at the end of the sequence, so progress is counted against the reading, listening, writing and review you have completed.
