What the app turns a phone into

Learn Drum - Beat Maker & Pad turns a phone into a drum kit you play by touch, so no physical drum set is needed. Each button on the screen plays its own drum sound and has its own colour, which makes the pads easy to tell apart.

It is aimed at people who want to learn drumming from scratch and at players who already drum and want a phone-based kit to practise on.

Drum lessons you follow step by step

The app includes guided drum lessons that run step by step. The listing says they are written for beginners and for more experienced players alike.

Lessons are played on the same pads, using the drum sounds built into the app, so the practice happens on the instrument itself.

Building beats and your own sounds

The beat maker and drum pad let you tap the buttons to put together rhythms. The listing presents this as the main way to make your own patterns.

The app also lets you create your own sounds for the pads. The listing does not say how sound creation works beyond that.

Themes and the other instruments

Themes change how the app looks. The listing names Halloween, Christmas, Anime and Love, with more available, and presents them as a way to match the look to a mood or season.

Beyond drums, the listing says the app also includes guitar and piano, so the same app covers more than one instrument.
