What the Leroy Merlin app is for
Leroy Merlin's Brazilian app sells building materials, renovation supplies and decoration items, and it is aimed at people buying for a home project. The listing says it carries thousands of products and is organized around each stage of a project, from finding parts to deciding what to buy.
Most of the features below are about shopping for that project: searching the catalogue, checking whether an item is in stock, paying without queuing, and getting the order to you. The listing's loyalty and coupon features are also tied to using the app.
Searching products and checking stock and prices
A search function lets you look for any product in the catalogue. The listing also says prices and stock levels are shown in real time, so you can see whether an item is available at a store before you leave home.
This is mainly useful for materials you need on a specific day, such as tiles or fittings, because you can confirm availability before making the trip.
Paying in the app and collecting or receiving orders
Purchases can be paid for directly in the app, which the listing presents as a way to skip the in-store checkout queue. The listing does not name the payment methods in this description.
Once ordered, you choose between picking the order up at a Leroy Merlin store or having it delivered to your home.
Clube Leroy points, cashback and app-only coupons
Purchases accumulate cashback through Clube Leroy, the store's loyalty programme, and the same programme awards points that can be redeemed for benefits inside the app. The listing also mentions special discounts for Clube Leroy members.
The app carries coupons and promotions that the listing describes as limited to people who have the app installed, so these deals are reached through the app rather than in store or on the website.
Scanning product codes and saving items to buy later
The scanner reads QR codes and barcodes on products. According to the listing, a scan opens videos, photos and manuals for the item, which is useful when you want to see how a product works or how it is installed before buying it.
A wishlist and a favorites list let you save products and collect them in one place while you plan a renovation or a decoration project.
