Lime - #RideGreen

Shared e-bikes and e-scooters for short city trips

Lime - #RideGreen is the app for Lime's shared fleet of electric bikes and scooters. The developer describes the vehicles as emissions-free and aims the service at getting people from place to place in a city. It suits someone who needs a short ride across town without a car, or a quick way to reach a destination on time.

Finding and unlocking a vehicle near you

The map shows Lime vehicles close to where you are. Availability depends on your city and supply, so what appears on the map varies by location.

To unlock a vehicle you can scan its QR code, type in its plate number, or tap a button in the app. All three reach the same unlock step, so you can use whichever method works where you are standing.

Riding rules for bike lanes, helmets and parking

The listing asks riders to stay in bike lanes and never use sidewalks, to wear a helmet on every ride, and to park clear of walkways, driveways and access ramps. It links to Lime's safety site for more detail on these rules.

Lime's goal and how an account starts

Lime describes its aim as transport that is shared, affordable and carbon-free. The developer is listed as Neutron Holdings, Inc. Using the app begins with creating an account, which is the first step of the setup.
