A weather app for checking conditions in saved cities

The app shows current weather for your exact location and for any other place you save. The developer describes it as free and says it works anywhere in the world.

It suits people who follow weather in several cities at once, or who want air quality, UV and rain timing in one place. The listing says the interface is available in more than 100 languages.

Current conditions and short and long forecasts

Current conditions include the air temperature and the real temperature, the weather icon, wind speed and direction, and the day's high and low. The listing also gives sunrise and sunset times, sunshine hours, humidity, visibility, dew point, cloud cover and altitude.

The hourly forecast covers the next 24 or 72 hours. The daily forecast runs for 10 or 25 days and gives the chance of rain, snow, ice, hail and lightning, plus wind direction, speed and level for each day.

Rain timing, radar and storm warnings

Rain Tracker shows rain and snow minute by minute for the next two hours, along with expected precipitation and snow depth. The radar map layers cloud cover, sun, rain, snow, sleet, thunderstorms and lightning areas, so you can follow moving clouds, fronts and active storms and see whether they are heading toward a location.

Severe weather alerts list the affected area, start and end times, a summary and full warning text, and the data source. Colour marks different severity levels. The listing names warnings for strong wind, heavy rain, snowstorms and thunderstorms.

Air quality, pollen and UV levels

The air quality index reports PM10, PM2.5, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide and ozone, with an overall quality level. Each level comes with an explanation and travel recommendations.

The same section shows the pollen index and the UV index, which suits people who check these before going outdoors.

Multiple locations, widgets and display settings

You can add and remove cities, change their order, and view conditions for many locations at once. Each location can have its own notifications and home-screen widgets. The widget shows the current temperature, time and date, plus simple conditions and daily and hourly forecasts.

Units are set separately for temperature, precipitation, visibility, wind speed, pressure, time format and date format. The app switches between light and dark mode, and a daily notification sends the main forecast each morning.
