Local weather forecasts for your location and saved cities

Local Weather Forecast - Radar is a weather app that shows current conditions and forecasts for wherever you are, using location permission, or for any city you add by name. The store listing gives 10,000,000+ installs and describes the app as free.

With location on, the app follows where you are and shows current temperature, precipitation, humidity, pressure, visibility, UV index, pollen count, sunrise and sunset. Without location, you search for a city and add it to a list, and the list is where you check cities you care about, reorder them, or delete them. You can also pick a city from a map.

Hourly and daily forecasts for planning ahead

The hourly view covers the next 120 hours and includes temperature, wind speed and direction, precipitation, precipitation probability and a temperature trend line. The listing also mentions a 24-hour breakdown with comfort, pollen, allergy and UV indexes.

Daily forecasts run out to 45 days, with a summary for each day. The listing describes a weather briefing for the current location as well, which sits alongside the day-by-day entries.

Rain, wind and pressure radar maps

The radar section is an animated live map with separate layers for rain, temperature, wind and atmospheric pressure. Each layer can be played back as an animation to show how the weather is moving.

The listing says the rainfall forecast is accurate to the minute and that a chart of precipitation trends shows whether rain is coming. Users planning trips can use this to see what is heading toward a location before they leave.

Air quality, pollen and weather alerts

The air quality forecast gives hourly readings of air pollution, PM2.5 and AQI for the next five days. The listing presents this as a way to watch air quality over time for health reasons.

Temperature can be shown in Fahrenheit or Celsius, wind in m/s, mph or km/h, pressure in bar, hPa, mmHg or atm, with 12-hour or 24-hour time and three date formats. The interface is offered in 18 languages, including Japanese, Korean, Hindi, German and Portuguese.
