Logos Bible

A Bible study app with reference books built in

Logos is Faithlife's Bible app for people who want more from the text than the verse on the page. The library includes over 40 free Bibles and books, among them commentaries, sermon preparation tools and writings by theologians. A free account is needed to start using the reading and study features.

It suits someone preparing a Bible study or a sermon, or working through Scripture on their own, who wants reference material open beside the text.

Reading plans and notes

Reading plans can be customized to fit a schedule and shared with other people. They are meant to help a daily reading habit stick.

Notes can be taken while reading and are meant to stay with you wherever you open the app.

Asking questions and searching Scripture

Study Assistant answers a question using only the books in your Logos library, so the answers point back to material you own. Smart Search finds passages by verse reference, by topic, or by a question typed in ordinary words. Both AI features have a limited number of free uses.

A subscription, managed through Google Play, adds more use of Study Assistant and Smart Search, access to more books, and subscriber-only free books and discounts. It renews automatically unless canceled, and it can be canceled in the account settings.

Background on people, places and ideas

Factbook gives background on the people, places and ideas that come up in a passage, without leaving the reading. It is aimed at the moment a name or location in the text needs explaining.
