Makeup ASMR: Makeover Story

A simulation game built around character makeovers

Makeup ASMR: Makeover Story is a simulation game in which you take on characters with ordinary or odd problems and work them into a new look. The listing's examples run from a rotting mermaid to a scruffy beggar, and from insects in the eyes to cracked lips.

The developer pitches it at people who want calm, hands-on play, with makeover scenes sitting alongside tidying puzzles.

Treatment scenes for eyes, lips, ears, armpits and hair

The treatment scenes focus on one part of the body at a time. The listing names ears, armpits, lips and hair, and gives examples such as flies or bees in the eyes and cracked lips.

The developer describes these treatments as a form of stress relief.

Dressing characters in outfits, hair and accessories

The game includes a range of character roles, and each one can be given different clothing, hairstyles and accessories. Mixing these changes how each character looks.

The listing presents this as a way to build a distinct style for every character.

Sound effects for relaxed play

The sound effects are the feature the listing returns to most, and the ASMR in the title refers to them. The developer says they are made for relaxation and calm while you play, so the scenes are meant to be heard as well as watched.

Tidying and organizing puzzles with unlockable levels

Apart from the makeovers, the game includes organizing and tidying challenges. Progress through these unlocks further levels and what the listing calls additional surprises.

The developer describes the puzzles as the more challenging part of the game.
