What Manga UP! is for
Manga UP! is SQUARE ENIX's own manga reader. It carries titles from the publisher's catalogue, including Fullmetal Alchemist and Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, and covers both current chapters and older completed runs.
The developer describes it as the official service run by the publisher, with a web version at the address given on the listing for reading in a browser.
Reading free chapters every day
Logging in once a day unlocks free chapters. The listing says these come without rental limits.
Free reading is tied to that daily login, so a reader who opens the app regularly builds up access to new free chapters over time.
Back catalogue through the VAULT PASS subscription
VAULT PASS is a subscription that the listing says unlocks more than 30,000 chapters straight away. Finished series such as My Dress-Up Darling, Horimiya and Soul Eater are named as part of that set.
A one-month free trial of Premium is offered on the listing.
Simulpubs released the day they come out in Japan
Simulpubs are chapters released on the same day as the Japanese edition. The listing names The Apothecary Diaries, Daemons of the Shadow Realm and Assassin & Cinderella among the series offered this way.
For a reader following a series as it runs, these arrive without a delay behind the Japanese release.
Browsing 400+ manga by genre
The catalogue includes more than 400 manga across Isekai, Shonen, Romance, Fantasy, Shojo, Josei and Anime Tie-ins.
The listing presents this range as a way to find smaller titles outside the most widely known series, so browsing by genre is the natural way in.
