maps + more is Volkswagen AG's app for turning an Android phone into the infotainment system of a Volkswagen up! or e-up!. It is aimed at owners of those two city cars who want navigation, media and driving information on a phone screen mounted in the car.
The listing says the current version was rebuilt around a customisable dashboard, and that the e-up! version adds features for planning charging.
Offline navigation with voice guidance
Maps run offline on 2D or 3D views, so route guidance does not depend on a live connection. The app gives turn-by-turn directions by voice.
A speed warning is included, which the listing presents as a way to keep journeys less stressful. It is one of the driving aids that sit alongside the map.
