What Math Games for Kids is for
Math Games for Kids is a preschool math game for children between two and six. The developer pitches it at toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten children who are just starting to count.
The game covers counting, addition and subtraction. The developer presents it as learning through play rather than through worksheets, and says the game is meant to develop logical thinking as well as number skills.
Counting, addition and subtraction for young children
The game moves through counting, then addition, then subtraction. The listing describes this as a step-by-step path, so a child can work through the earlier skills before the later ones.
The developer says the game is about understanding how quantities work, not only about reciting numbers. The listing claims children with no formal schooling can follow it.
Building blocks and hands-on number play
Numbers are shown through building blocks. The listing describes this as hands-on exploration, so the child handles the blocks to see what a count or a sum means.
The developer presents the blocks as the main way in for the youngest players, before any written numerals are involved.
Playing offline without a connection
The developer says the game can be played offline. Once it is installed, the listing does not describe any need for an internet connection to play it.
The listing also gives the content rating as All ages, while the game itself is aimed at children from two to six.
