What MBC Shahid offers and who it suits
MBC Shahid is a streaming service from MBC Group built around Arabic-language programming. Its library combines original series, movies, live television channels, sports and recorded live events in one app.
It suits viewers who want Arabic drama and comedy, people who follow Arabic-language channels or regional sports, and fans of concerts and theatre staged in the region. The listing describes it as a single place for all of these.
Arabic series, comedies and movies
The core of the catalogue is Arabic original productions, which the listing says are available only on MBC Shahid. It names dramas and comedies, along with exclusive series and blockbuster films.
Because most of this material is not shown elsewhere according to the listing, the app is aimed at people looking for Arabic originals in particular rather than general international titles.
Live TV channels, sports and events
Live TV channels stream in Full HD and cover news, entertainment and other categories. Sports coverage includes local and international tournaments, also in HD.
The app also carries live events, which the listing names as Riyadh Season, Jeddah Season, live concerts and theatrical plays. These sit alongside the channels and sports in the same app.
Free viewing and paid subscriptions
Viewers can watch without paying or subscribe to one of MBC Shahid's packages. Free viewing includes advertising, and the listing says ads are removed when you subscribe.
A subscription also gives unlimited access to the premium content the listing describes. Features such as ad-free viewing therefore depend on having a paid package.
