McDonald's

What the McDonald's app covers

McDonald's is the app published by the restaurant chain itself. It is aimed at regular customers who want the current offers, the menu, and news about the restaurants and products.

Most of what it contains falls into four areas: offers, finding a restaurant, the menu and nutrition details, and news and games. The sections below take each of these in turn.

Redeeming offers at the counter

Offers are kept inside the app. According to the listing, you redeem them at the cashier of the restaurant by showing the offer on your phone.

The listing describes the offers as available in the app at all times, so you do not need to look for a separate promotion for each visit.

Finding a restaurant and checking nutrition

The store finder searches by your location, so you can see the restaurants close to you. It is the listed way to find a branch from inside the app.

The menu is included, and each item has nutritional information. This is useful for anyone who wants to check the calorie or nutrient content of a product before ordering.

New products, new restaurants and Happy Meal toys

The app carries news about new products and newly opened restaurants. It also shows the Happy Meal toy of the month, which is listed as one of its features.

These updates are the part of the app most likely to change from one visit to the next, since the listing ties them to whatever McDonald's is launching or opening at the time.

Games, competitions and gifts

The listing describes games and competitions with gifts as part of the app. These are separate from the offers and the menu, and the listing says more are to come.
