What MeetHer is and who it suits

MeetHer is a social app built around direct conversations between two people, with live video and text chat. The developer positions it for people who want to make friends or hold real conversations with people in other countries as well as nearby.

The Google Play listing rates it Mature 17+. Its stated focus is genuine connection rather than group chat, so it suits people who want one-to-one contact.

Finding people nearby and around the world

The discovery screen shows profiles of people in your area or in other cultures. Smart filters narrow those profiles to people who share your interests, which is the main way the listing says you choose who to talk to.

The developer describes the profiles as authentic. The listing does not say how profiles are verified.

Video calls, chat and live translation

One-on-one video calls let you see the other person in real time, and the listing presents them as the way to start a relationship. Text messages can be sent at any time, and the listing says replies come quickly, so a conversation can carry on between calls.

Live translation is built into chat. It is meant to let you message someone who speaks a different language without leaving the app. MeetHer also offers optional in-app purchases for enhanced features.

Privacy of one-to-one chats

The listing says that one-to-one chats are confidential and stay between you and your match. It also describes the app as a secure and respectful environment for its users.

These are the developer's own claims. The listing does not describe the technical measures behind them.
