Simple SMS messaging for fast, clear conversations with your contacts.

Messages: SMS Texting is an SMS app for sending and receiving standard text messages. The developer built it around ordinary texting: each person's messages are kept together in a thread, so replies appear beside what you sent.
It suits someone who wants everyday text messaging in one place, whether that is checking in with family or answering a new message from a contact.
You can begin a conversation by picking someone from your contacts or by entering a phone number directly. Either way, the text is written in a focused conversation view with no other content competing for space.
The build we hold is Messages: SMS Texting 2.0.0 (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.

The developer lists this as the way to start a new thread without leaving the app to find the person first.
Incoming replies show up in the same thread as the messages you sent, so the back-and-forth stays in order. When a new message arrives, its notification opens the matching conversation directly.
The thread view is the core of the app. Each contact's exchange stays separate, so a reply is always read in context.
Recent conversations are gathered into one list that can be scrolled through. Tapping an active chat returns you to where you left off, without searching your phone for the contact or the number.
This list is how the developer describes keeping ongoing conversations easy to reach from the main screen.
