MISTPLAY: Play and Earn Money

What the MISTPLAY rewards app is for

MISTPLAY is a rewards app that pays people for playing mobile games. It is listed under Finance, and the developer says it has been running since 2016. According to the listing, it has paid out more than $150 million USD in rewards and gift cards to over 2 million users.

It suits people who already play puzzle games or bubble shooters and would rather collect gift cards than spend the time for nothing. The listing rates the app for ages 18 and over.

Earning units by playing new and top games

Rewards come in the form of units. The more time you spend in a game, the more units you collect, so the total builds with playtime rather than with any single session. The app points you toward new games to try and toward popular titles that others play.

Challenges inside the app are another source of units. The listing describes them as a way to push through extra goals while you play the games you already like.

Cashing units out for gift cards

Units are not spent directly. You advance through checkpoints in the app, and at those points you can redeem units for cash rewards. The rewards are gift cards, with PayPal, Uber, DoorDash, Target, Amazon and others named on the listing.

Because the cash-out goes through gift cards, the value you get depends on which card you pick and how many units you have built up at the checkpoint.

Puzzle and bubble shooter games in the rewards mix

The listing names puzzle games and bubble shooters as the kinds of games the rewards are built around. Those are the titles you would play in the app to build units. Other games appear in the catalogue as well, so the mix depends on what the app recommends at the time.
