What MultiTimer is for

MultiTimer is a timer app built around running many timers at the same time. The developer aims it at daily tasks, cooking, studying and workouts, where one timer is rarely enough.

Each timer can be set up for a different job: a pasta countdown, a study block, a set of exercise intervals. The listing says there are no ads in the app.

Timer types and how boards arrange them

You can create timers of nine kinds: Countdown, Quick Start, Count Up, Pomodoro, Interval Timer, Stopwatch, Counter, Clock and Buttons. Each timer can be placed on a board, and you can make several boards to group timers by task or room.

Boards use either an adaptive or a flexible layout, and you can copy, delete or move timers between positions. Boards can be shown on separate screens or in fullscreen mode. The listing describes no limit on the number of boards or timers, though some features are part of a paid Pro upgrade.

Labels, alerts and control over running timers

Timers and counters can be labelled and given their own colours, icons, alert styles, sounds and notification settings, so each one is easy to tell apart on a crowded board.

While timers run, you can set a start delay before a timer begins, add or subtract time from a timer that is already going, and turn on Autorepeat so a timer restarts on its own when it finishes.

History, sharing, the widget and undo

The app keeps a history of your timers and counters. Boards and timers can be exported to another device, which is how you would move a setup between phones.

A web feature creates a link you can send to friends, family or colleagues so they can follow ongoing or upcoming timed events. The home screen widget is interactive, and an undo function rolls the app back to an earlier state if a timer was changed by mistake.
