Music Player is the best music player for Android.
By Trang Nguyen
Editor, media and streaming
Music Player is an Android app for playing music that is already stored on your phone or tablet. The developer, InShot Inc., positions it as an offline player, so it is built around local files rather than streaming.
It suits people with a collection of downloaded or ripped songs who want one place to browse, play and tune them. The listing also includes a monthly listening summary, which adds a light reporting layer on top of playback.
The build we hold is Music Player & MP3 Player 4.4.1.189 (APK) for Android 7.0 and up.

The app lists every song found on the device so you can browse the library and start playback from it. Because the music is local, listening does not depend on a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
The listing's summary also mentions lyrics and playlists for favorite songs. Playlists let you group tracks by mood or activity, and lyrics show alongside the song while it plays.
Beyond MP3, the app is listed as handling MIDI, WAV, FLAC, AAC and APE files. That covers compressed and lossless formats in one player, so a mixed library does not need converting first.
The built-in equalizer offers bass boost and reverb, among other effects, to shape the sound. These controls apply to whatever you are playing, whatever format it is in.
You can pick a color theme for the interface and a separate player theme for the playback screen. The listing describes the design as simple and stylish, and the themes are the main way to change how it looks.
Each month the app totals your listening time and shows your top songs, artists and albums. You can share these results as recap cards, which are image summaries built for posting.
The recap also awards badges when you reach new listening milestones. The badges are a running record of how much you have played, rather than a separate feature to set up.
