Music Player

A local player for music already on your phone

Music Player plays audio files that are already saved on your device. It does not download music or stream anything online, so you first copy files over from a computer or save them from the web, then open them in the app.

The listing names MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and WAV, and says it covers most common music formats beyond those.

Browsing a music library by album, artist, genre or folder

Songs can be viewed grouped by album, artist, genre, or the folder they sit in. A Recently folders list keeps folders you have opened before, so you can return to a favourite collection without digging through storage again.

The developer says the app displays thousands of songs in seconds.

Finding songs by title, artist, album or file name

Search looks through the songs on the device, and results can be sorted by song title, number of songs, date modified, album, artist or file name. Sorting by date modified helps when you want to find recently added or changed files.

Repeat modes and playback speed

Four playback modes are available: play the queue until it runs out, loop the whole queue, repeat the current song, or stop when the current song ends. Playback speed can be changed while a track plays.
