What the app combines in one place
My Smart Home is a single app from АО Уфанет that brings together three things: a video intercom, camera viewing and a set of home sensors. Its stated purpose is to let you control an apartment or house remotely, with access from any location.
The intercom, camera and sensor parts share one account and one screen, so you do not switch between separate programs for the door, the cameras and the alarm-type sensors. Several addresses can be linked to separate accounts within the same app.
Opening the building door from a phone
The intercom can recognise a resident's face at the entrance, so the door can open without keys. A visitor's call to the apartment reaches the phone as a video call, and you can open the door during that call or from the app at any other time.
The app keeps a call history, so if you were away you can check who came to the door. You can also give access to family members and other people you choose.
Viewing cameras and downloading footage
Live images are available from city cameras and from your own personal cameras. The archive keeps recordings, and you can download a specific fragment rather than the whole period. Events recorded by a camera are listed so you can go straight to them.
The app also has a video surveillance section with a selection of incidents from the provider's CCTV cameras. Users can send their own camera incidents to the provider for inclusion.
Home sensors, arming and alerts
Sensors cover water leakage, movement, smoke, door opening, glass breakage and some other events. When one of them is triggered, the app sends a notification.
You can arm and disarm an apartment or house from the app, so the sensors are set to watch while you are out and switched off when you return.
