What myNoise is and who it suits

myNoise is a sound app with more than 300 soundscapes, which the listing summarizes as white noise and nature sounds. The developer calls it a daily companion for focus, sleep and relaxation.

It suits people who want steady background sound for long stretches, such as during the night or a long working or study block. The developer says it is used by millions of people worldwide.

Shaping a soundscape with sliders

Each soundscape is adjusted with sliders, so the mix can be set to suit the listener rather than played as a fixed recording. The developer describes the result as an ambience built around a person's needs.

Because the sounds are fully adjustable, the same soundscape can be made louder or softer in character to fit a quiet room, a busy office or a bedroom at night.

Sleep, relaxation and focus sounds

The soundscapes are grouped around three everyday uses: getting to sleep, staying focused, and unwinding. Sleep and focus are both named directly in the listing's summary.

The developer states that the app is built for long listening sessions, with an average session of over one hour. That makes it suited to playing sound through a whole night or an extended period of concentration.

Masking noise for tinnitus and ADHD

The listing names tinnitus, ADHD and sound masking among the things people use the app for. Masking here means playing a steady sound that covers up distracting noise.

Nature and white noise soundscapes are the kind of material people commonly play for masking, and the listing presents myNoise for that purpose alongside sleep and focus.
