MySynchrony is the mobile app for holders of credit cards issued by Synchrony. It brings those cards together in one place, so a person with more than one can switch between them inside the app.
The listing excludes several store and payment-linked cards: Venmo, PayPal Extras, PayPal Credit, TJMaxx/TJX and eBay Extras. Savings accounts are handled by a separate Synchrony Bank App, which the listing points to.
Payments can be scheduled and managed for each card account. The bank accounts used to pay the bill can be added or removed, and the listing says more than one can be stored.
Because the bank accounts are kept in the app, a payment can be set up from a chosen account without re-entering its details each time.
The app shows the current balance and credit limit for each card. Transaction history and past payments are listed, so a person can check a charge or confirm that a payment went through.
Monthly statements can be viewed in the app. Users can also choose how statements are delivered, which the listing describes as a delivery preference setting.
The app supports biometric authentication for login, so a fingerprint or face unlock on the phone can replace typing the password each time. The listing presents this as the way to log in securely.
Card balances and account details are only reachable after login, so the sign-in step controls access to everything else in the app.
The Synchrony Marketplace lists savings, deals and offers from partner retailers, which the listing says can be used online or at stores nearby. The Finance 101 blog covers general money management tips.
The 24/7 Knowledge Center answers cardholder questions at any hour, and the app has a channel for sending feedback about the mobile experience.
