Narwal

What the Narwal app controls

The Narwal app is the phone companion for Narwal robot cleaners. Its main purpose is remote control: you can start and manage cleaning, and check the robot's working status, from wherever you are. The listing also says the app unlocks more advanced functions of the robot.

It suits owners of a Narwal robot who want to set up and adjust floor cleaning from a phone.

Cleaning modes and custom cleaning plans

Five cleaning modes are available, including Freo Mode, Vacuum and Mop, and Vacuum then Mop. You pick the one that suits the floor.

Each cleaning plan can be tuned further. You set the order rooms are cleaned in, how often the plan runs, and the mopping pressure and moisture the robot uses.

Room maps, no-go zones and spot cleaning

Rooms on the map can be merged or divided. No-go zones can be drawn so the robot stays out of chosen areas.

Spot cleaning lets you select one dirty area on the map and send the robot to clean only that spot.

Post-clean video reports

When a cleaning plan finishes, the app produces a short, customized video of the run. The listing presents it as a way to see how the floor was cleaned.
