Truck navigation with offline maps, truck speed limits and parking lots.

Odysseus GPS Truck Navigation is a satnav app for heavy goods vehicles and other large vehicles. The developer lists trucks, heavy trucks, HGVs, buses, car transporters and tankers as the vehicle types it covers, and says it is aimed at professional and long-haul drivers.
The app's main difference from a car satnav is that the route depends on the vehicle you drive. You tell it what you are driving, and the planning uses that profile rather than a generic road network.
The build we hold is Odysseus GPS Truck Navigation 2.0.23 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

Before planning a trip you enter the vehicle type, its dimensions, its weight by axle load, the number of trailers, and some other parameters. The developer says routes are calculated from these settings.
Because the profile is stored in the app, the same figures apply to every route you plan. You only need to change them when the vehicle or its load changes.
The listing says the route planning steers around low bridges and tunnels, narrow roads, road restrictions and limited access zones. These are the hazards a car satnav is least likely to flag for a lorry or coach.
The avoidance is applied during route planning, so the route is worked out with those hazards already excluded.
The app shows 3D maps and includes an offline mode, so the maps can be used without a live connection. It also uses real-time traffic and calculates an estimated time of arrival.
Traffic and ETA are the parts of the route that change while you drive, so they are updated as conditions change rather than fixed when you start.
Speed camera alerts cover both mobile and fixed cameras. The summary also lists truck speed limits and parking lots as part of the app.
Together these support the parts of a long drive that come up between destinations: keeping within the limit for the vehicle and finding somewhere to stop.
