What kind of off-road driving game this is

OTR is a driving simulator set in one open world of hills, islands and mountains. You drive a 4x4 across the terrain, take a boat over the water, or fly a helicopter to a summit. You can also get out and walk.

It suits players who prefer exploring rough ground to racing around a track. Most of the game is about choosing a route and getting there.

Climbing with the winch and crossing by boat or helicopter

The car carries a winch with a rope that you can anchor and reel in to pull the vehicle up steep slopes. The listing describes the rope as physically accurate, so it sags and tightens as it would in real life.

Boats cover the sea between islands, and the helicopter lets you reach high points without a road. Together they mean a route does not have to follow any path on the map.

Damage, tyre and water physics
