Play ProtectThis app makes shooting and sharing more fun by connecting LUMIX cameras

Panasonic's LUMIX Lab is a color grading tool built around LUTs, or look-up tables. A LUT is a color filter that changes the color values of a photo or video, and this app is for applying, making and sharing them. The listing ties it to LUMIX cameras, so it fits people who shoot with one and want a consistent color style on their phone and on the camera itself.
The app covers three ways of getting a look: editing controls for building one by hand, a Magic LUT that copies the color of a reference photo, and a library of LUTs from outside creators. A fourth function moves LUTs onto the camera.
Beyond basic brightness and contrast, the editor offers tone curves, HSL adjustments that control hue, saturation and luminance separately, and color adjustments for highlights and shadows. These let you shift the colors of bright and dark areas independently.
Once an edit looks right, you can save it as a LUT and reuse it. Grain and sharpness effects can be added before saving. The listing describes this as a way to create the look you want and keep it.
Magic LUT starts with a photo from your phone's camera roll that already has the color style you want. The app uses AI to generate a LUT based on that reference, so you can try to reproduce its color without adjusting each control yourself. The listing asks users to pick reference images that do not infringe license terms, laws, copyright or portrait rights.
The Creator LUT library holds about 200 LUTs from more than 40 creators around the world. You download them and use them for editing, and they also work with the real-time LUT function.
The real-time LUT function transfers a selected LUT to a LUMIX camera. You then shoot photos and video with that LUT applied, and the color treatment is saved to the files as they are recorded. This makes the app's LUTs usable on set or on location, not only in post-processing on the phone.
The build we hold is Panasonic LUMIX Lab 3.1.0 (APKS split bundle) for Android 11 and up.
