What parkrun is and who the app serves

parkrun Official is a companion to parkrun, a free community event where people walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. The main 5k takes place on Saturday mornings, and junior parkrun is a 2k for children aged 4 to 14 and their families on Sunday mornings.

There is no time limit and each event has a volunteer Tail Walker, so the last person over the line is never left behind. The app is for people who already take part and want their records, route information and schedule in one place.

Checking results and personal bests

The result history shows your own parkrun record, including finishes, volunteer roles and events attended. You can also look up the results of family members or friends, so a household or running group can follow each other's runs.

Personal bests are tracked alongside the full history, so you can see your fastest times without searching back through individual results.

Finding an event and checking the course

The event map covers every parkrun in the world, which helps when you travel or want to try a new location. Each event has a course description, and the app shows cancellations so you can check before setting out.

These course details are useful if you are visiting somewhere unfamiliar and want to know what the route involves before you arrive.

Planning runs and working toward milestones

The planner keeps a list of the parkruns you intend to attend, which is useful when several events are within reach and you want to choose between them. It works as a simple schedule for the weeks ahead.

Milestones track your progress toward the next finisher or volunteering target and show how far you are from joining the milestone clubs, which include thousands of other members.
