What Pass2Pay is for

Pass2Pay is a tool for collecting tickets, passes and cards that already exist as digital files or images, and getting them into a wallet app on an Android phone. It is aimed at people who hold these items as passes and want them in Google Pay or Huawei Wallet instead of scattered across emails, screenshots and PDFs.

The developer lists two wallets as destinations: Google Pay and Huawei Wallet. Pass2Pay itself handles the reading and transfer, and the wallet is where you then look at and use the pass.

Importing passes from files and photos

You can import pkpass files, the format used by Apple's Passbook, plus PDF files. You can also take a photograph of a pass and import the result directly.

After the app reads a pass, it passes the data on to the wallet you have chosen. The developer notes that you are responsible for the passes you import, which must be legal and used in line with the terms set by whoever issued them.

Creating passes by hand

If a pass is not available as a file or image, you can build one manually inside the app. Pass2Pay describes support for every card type that pkpass, Google Pay and Huawei Wallet can carry.

The listed types are transport tickets, event tickets, gift cards, loyalty cards and offers. A manually built pass goes into the same wallet as an imported one.

Using passes in Google Pay or Huawei Wallet

Once a pass is sent, the developer says you can view and use it from any device connected to that wallet. Pass2Pay is not required to show the pass afterwards, since the wallet holds it.

The developer states that Pass2Pay has no relationship with Google Pay, Huawei Wallet or Apple. It uses the free pass creation tools from Google and Huawei, and reads the pkpass format that Apple defined for Passbook.
