Pharmacy Simulator is a practice game for pharmacy work. The developer aims it at students learning the trade and at professionals who want to rehearse it. You play the person behind the counter, working through a set of scenarios rather than an open-ended shop.
The scenarios are described as written by experts in the field. They are meant to stand in for the situations a pharmacy worker meets in practice, so the practice is closer to the job than a quiz would be.
Inside a scenario you dispense medication, talk with patients, and consult with prescribers. The developer also lists tasks where you defuse difficult situations, which means handling a tense or problematic exchange rather than a routine hand-over.
Because the tasks cover the counter, the patient and the prescriber, a single scenario can require you to switch between all three. The game is set in a fully 3D pharmacy.
Every action you take in a scenario is scored. The developer says extensive feedback follows, so you can see which choices were mistakes and what to change next time.
The stated purpose is learning from errors. The feedback is the record of what you did wrong, so the scores and notes are the main way to track progress across scenarios.
A free account includes a limited trial selection of scenarios and features. Additional content requires a subscription.
So the scenarios you can play depend on whether you subscribe. Anyone using the free account will only reach the trial selection until they pay for the subscription.
