A pretend phone for toddlers
This is a children's app that imitates a smartphone. Its characters are Pinkfong and Baby Shark, who call and text the child inside the app. The developer presents it as a way to teach small children how to use a phone.
Calls, texts and number practice are the three main parts, and the rest of the app builds on them. It is aimed at preschool and toddler-age children.
Pretend calls and texts with the characters
Calls come in from Pinkfong and Baby Shark, and a child can pick up and answer video calls from them. Once connected, the characters sing popular kids songs, Baby Shark included. The listing says random surprise calls arrive too, with songs for babies.
In messaging, the child chooses from a set of emojis to send to the characters, and the characters write back. The listing presents this as part of learning how a phone conversation works.
Learning to dial and count on a keypad
A dialing game uses a keypad to teach the digits 1, 2 and 3 to preschoolers and toddlers. The listing says it also covers 0 to 9, with each number sounded in a different tone. The child can pick among instrument voices, including piano, violin and flute.
The listing describes the keypad as a safe place to practice dialing.
Selfie frames, photo puzzles and games
The camera side has colorful frames for taking selfies with Pinkfong and Baby Shark. Puzzles can be made from the child's own photos, and pictures can be saved and shared. Two more games are an ice cream stacking game and a Baby Shark talking activity.
The listing says the phone features are free. It also offers a separate Pinkfong Plus membership, which it says unlocks all premium content, blocks unsafe ads and inappropriate content, and includes more than 30 related Pinkfong apps. Membership content works across smartphones, tablets and smart TVs.
