Pixel Compass brings a compass, location and altitude readings, weather information, and a leveling tool together. It may suit people who want those checks for outdoor navigation, weather planning, or small home projects without switching between separate tools.
The display can use light, dark, AMOLED, or red-light themes. The listing also says location and environmental analysis are processed on the device.
The compass can show either magnetic north or geographic north. Coordinates are available in Decimal Degrees, DMS, or DDM, and there is a NATO mils option for people who use that format. An adaptive power option is listed, along with an offline mode; the listing does not explain which readings are available offline.
For elevation checks, the app uses the phone's barometer to show altitude and sea-level pressure. It can adjust pressure drift when returning to a known location, and also offers manual altitude calibration. These readings depend on compatible device sensors.
Weather cards show current conditions, temperature, humidity, and UV information. Tapping a card opens charts for hourly forecasts, the sun's path, moon phases, and pressure trends. Alerts cover conditions such as incoming rain, high UV, wind chill, and sudden temperature drops.
Temperature, distance, and pressure units can be changed. Pixel Compass+ adds advanced forecast charts and extra measures, including feels-like temperature, dew point, visibility, and air quality. The paid tier also offers more frequent weather and elevation data, plus a wind-direction marker on the compass.
The level tool uses the phone to measure surface angle, which can help when aligning an object or checking an incline. Flip-to-Align provides audio, vibration, and flashlight signals for reaching a level position without watching the display. Measurements can be locked, or a custom zero point can be set for comparing angles against a chosen starting position.
Home-screen options include date and alert information, clock styles, and separate weather or altitude widgets. On Wear OS, the app lists compass and altitude readings, watch-face complications, quick-access tiles, manual calibration, and custom arc data. Some compass shapes, themes, and card styles are part of Pixel Compass+.
The listing says the app has no ads. It offers Pixel Compass+ as either a subscription or a lifetime purchase, but does not give prices in the description. Advanced customization and some data features are paid; the free offering does not include the full set of extras.
The listing does not say that an account is required. Certain readings rely on compatible sensors, and the paid tier is needed for some advanced charts, expanded weather information, faster data updates, and additional appearance options.
The build we hold is Pixel Compass: Nav & Level 1.22.1r (APKS split bundle) for Android 13 and up.
