Playo: Sports Booking App

What the app covers and who it is for

This is a booking and matchmaking app for sports. It lists nearby venues for more than 50 sports, with badminton, football, cricket, tennis and pickleball named in the listing. It also gives you a way to find other players, so you can play without assembling a team first.

It suits people who want to play regularly but do not have a fixed group. A solo player looking for a match or a small group needing a court can use the same screens.

Booking a court or turf slot

The app shows real-time availability for each venue, so you can see which slots are open before you choose one. You can compare slots across times and confirm the booking from the same flow. The listing says confirmation takes seconds.

Bookings are made for specific venues near you, not for a general city area. The listing does not describe a pricing or payment structure, so check the in-app details for those.

Finding players and joining or hosting games

If you have no team, the app connects you with players nearby who play the same sport. You can filter matches by skill level, so you are not paired with people far above or below your ability. You can also host your own game and invite others to it.

GameTime is the feature for joining an existing session. Games can be hosted by Playo, by community organisers, or as public events at listed venues. You book your spot, and the listing says the organising is handled after that, so you only need to turn up.

Coaches, academies and training

The app also lists coaches and academies across different sports and fitness activities. You can use it to find training rather than only a court or a game. The listing describes this as a way to learn, practise and keep up a routine with guidance from instructors.
