What this pool game is and who it suits
Pool Billiards offline is a pool game built around two rule sets, Blackball and Pyramid billiards. Google Play files it under Sports and lists it as a game rated for all ages.
It suits anyone who wants to play these two pool variants on a phone, whether alone, against the computer, or with someone sitting beside them. Google Play shows 100,000,000+ installs and a 4.31 rating from 387,408 ratings.
Blackball rules and how a game ends
Blackball uses 15 colored balls: seven red, seven yellow and one black. Each player is assigned one group and works to pocket every ball in that group.
The black ball comes last. A player who pockets it before clearing their own group loses the game, so the order of play matters as much as the shots.
Pyramid billiards: the eight-ball race
Pyramid billiards uses 15 white balls and one red ball. The goal is to pocket any eight balls before the opponent does.
Because any eight balls count, the rule works as a race rather than a fixed sequence. It gives the game a different pace from Blackball.
Playing alone, against the computer, or with a friend
The developer lists three ways to play: alone, against the computer, or with two players on one device in hotseat mode. Hotseat means the players take turns at the same screen.
Choosing the mode is the only setup these modes require, so a single session can move from a practice game alone to a match with a friend on the same phone.
