Prezão Free: Claro's prepaid rewards app for coins

By Mei-Lin Chua

Contributing editor, apps and storefronts

Coins earned through surveys, quizzes and daily missions
Coins traded for internet, Claro calls and SMS
Unlimited calls to other Claro numbers
Unlimited SMS to any mobile carrier
Partner tasks, including a World Cup prediction pool
More coins from watching ads and inviting friends

What Prezão Free is and who it is for

Prezão Free is a rewards club from Claro Brasil for its prepaid mobile customers. Members collect coins by taking part in activities and then exchange those coins for mobile benefits.

The listing describes the benefits as internet, unlimited calls to Claro numbers, unlimited SMS to any carrier, and other extras it does not itemise. The app is aimed at people on a Claro prepaid line who want to stretch their data, calls and texts.

Earning coins through partner tasks

Much of the coin income comes from partner activities. The listing names installing apps, answering surveys, and joining a World Cup prediction pool, the bolão da Copa, as ways to earn.

Each task is run by one of Claro's partners rather than by Claro itself, according to the listing. Members who take on more of these tasks collect more coins.

Daily missions, quizzes, invites and ads

Daily missions and knowledge quizzes give coins for small, repeatable actions inside the app. Inviting friends is another source of coins.

Watching advertisements is also listed as a way to earn. The listing presents ads as a regular source of coins alongside the other activities, so a member who watches more ads collects more coins.

Spending coins on data, calls and SMS

Coins are exchanged for benefits. Internet, unlimited calls to Claro lines, and unlimited SMS to numbers on any operator are the benefits the listing names specifically.

The listing does not give a coin price for each benefit, so the rate of exchange is not stated in the description. The developer presents the whole loop as one where more participation leads to more benefits.
