Cute puppy logic puzzles! Split the grid, solve shikaku brain teasers offline.
By Mei-Lin Chua
Contributing editor, apps and storefronts
Puppykaku is built on the shikaku format, a grid puzzle where each number marks how large a rectangle must be. Each puzzle is a board of puppies, and the numbers sit on them. It suits people who want a contained puzzle they can finish in a few minutes or stretch into a longer session.
The listing describes it as playable offline and gives a PEGI 3 content rating. No maths is required, according to the listing.
The build we hold is Puppykaku 1.0.0 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

You drag across the grid to draw a rectangle around a numbered puppy. The rectangle has to hold exactly as many squares as the number shows, and it must contain only that one numbered puppy. A puzzle is solved when every square is covered by a shape, with no overlaps and no gaps.
Any move can be undone, so you can try a rectangle and back out of it without starting the board again. A hint is available for when a puzzle stalls. The listing states that each puzzle has one logical solution that can be worked out by reasoning alone.
The listing names no timer, no lives and no time pressure, so a single puzzle fits a coffee break as easily as an hour-long grid. The developer presents it as a way to wind down or wake up the brain, and the layout suits either.
Because nothing is counted against you, you can take each grid at whatever speed suits you.
According to the listing, every puzzle you solve sets a pack of puppies free. That is the game's reward for finishing a grid, and it is the only reward the listing describes.
