Qibla Compass: Qibla Direction

What Qibla Compass: Qibla Direction is for

Qibla Compass: Qibla Direction is a compass app that shows the Qibla, the direction Muslims face when they pray. The listing identifies the Qibla with the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is aimed at Muslims who want a prayer direction tool on their phone.

The listing says the app works from any location in the world, so the direction is worked out from wherever you are standing. It is presented as an Islamic app for Muslims everywhere.

Finding the Qibla direction with a GPS compass

The app uses your current location together with a GPS map to work out the Qibla direction. The listing describes the direction as accurate and says the compass finds the Kaaba's direction quickly.

The app also shows the Qibla location, so you can see where the Qibla lies from your position.

Locating nearby mosques

A nearest mosque feature sits alongside the compass. It uses your location to show mosques close to where you are.

Hijri calendar and the 99 names of Allah

The app includes a Hijri calendar, the Islamic lunar calendar, and a set of the 99 names of Allah. Both are part of the same app as the compass, so the Islamic calendar and the names are available without a separate download.
