Race Star - Team Manager Game

What kind of game this is

Race Star is a simulation game from Gryphon Games in which you manage a racing team instead of driving. You decide which drivers to sign, how the machines are tuned, and who lines up for each race. The game is rated USK 12+.

The developer lists six classes: open-wheel, stock cars, rally, superbikes, speedsters and monster trucks. Each class has its own drivers, machines and tracks, so you build a separate roster for each one.

Scouting and training drivers

Scouting brings new talent into the game, and you sign those drivers to your team. Raw rookies can be trained up into world-class champions over time.

Because each discipline has its own drivers, scouting and training happen within each class rather than across the whole game.

Tuning machines and setting race-day lineups

You tune the machines your drivers use in each class. Before race day, you choose the lineup that decides who runs in each event.

Those lineup choices are the strategic part of the game, since the results depend on the plan you set before the race starts.

Automated races and idle earnings

Once your plan is set, races play out as automated simulations, so you watch the result unfold rather than controlling each race. The developer says idle cash keeps accumulating while you are away from the game.
