Summoning brings in Champions from 16 factions, including orcs, knights and elves, and the listing puts the total above 800. Each Champion can be equipped with artifacts and ranked up to unlock stronger skills, area attacks and magic powers.
The developer also cites over a million possible Champion builds, which is where team planning comes in. In-game purchases include random items, and the listing says some paid items may not be refundable.
Dungeons hold bosses such as the Magma Dragon, the Fire Knight and the Ice Golem, and the Demon Lord appears in Clan challenges. Beating a boss yields loot, XP and special Champion drops, and the listing says you can fight bosses again to earn more powerful gear.
Combat runs in turns, so each fight is a sequence of decisions rather than real-time reflexes.
Clans team up for challenges and take part in tournaments against other Clans. The PvP Arena pits your Champions against other players in turn-based fights, with special gear for players who rise through the ranks.
The Bastion is a personal fortress where you upgrade and manage Shards, and it is where you prepare Champions for dungeon runs, Arena combat and the story campaign.
The PvE campaign covers 12 locations with a fully voiced story. Champions are fully rendered in 3D, and the listing cites thousands of unique skill and attack animations.
The game also includes an expanding set of Champion bios and an animated limited series, RAID: Call of the Arbiter, published on YouTube. The developer says the game has had over five years of free content updates.
