What Readle is and who it suits
Readle is a language-learning app built around news articles and short stories. It was previously published under the name Langster. Its texts are sorted by CEFR level, so a learner can read material pitched at their own stage rather than native-speaker text.
The listing names seven languages: Spanish, French, German, English, Italian, Japanese and Chinese. It is aimed at people who want a little practice each day in one of those languages, not at a full course with a fixed syllabus.
Reading news and stories at your CEFR level
The library holds over 2,000 stories, which the developer says are written by its language experts from real-world news and other material. Each text is levelled, and the listing gives Spanish stories as an example running from A1 to C1.
Because the levels are CEFR bands, you can move up through them in order. The listing does not say how a learner is placed or how progress is tracked.
Listening and comprehension practice
The listing presents Readle as a companion for listening and comprehension as well as reading. Those are the only details it gives on the two, so the app's listening exercises are not described here beyond that.
Flashcards for vocabulary from the stories
Readle includes smart flashcards for vocabulary training, which the listing ties to the stories themselves. Flashcards let you go back over words you have met in reading, instead of only reviewing them in isolation.
The listing does not describe how cards are chosen or scheduled.
Languages and a short daily routine
The listing pitches the app as five minutes a day of study, with reading, listening and flashcards as the parts of that session. It states that the app can be downloaded for free. It does not describe any paid tier or account requirement in the material provided.
