What the app is for and who it suits

Resume Builder - CV Engineer is a resume and CV maker for people applying for jobs. The listing names students, graduates, career changers and professionals in any industry as its intended users. You choose a template, then work through the CV one section at a time, with advice attached to each section.

The app is built around getting a CV through automated screening as well as read by a person. Most of its features are aimed at the text and layout of a single document, from the first draft to the exported PDF.

ATS-friendly templates and example resumes

The templates are described as recruiter-designed and optimised for applicant tracking systems, the software many employers use to sort applications. The listing says that both hiring managers and that software should be able to read them.

The app also includes example resumes written by a former executive recruiter. They show what finished sections can look like, and you can compare your own wording against them.

AI rewriting and grammar correction

The AI writing assistant suggests rewrites for work experience, personal statements and skills, with the aim of a more professional tone. It covers those three areas named in the listing.

It also corrects spelling and grammar in the text you write, so mistakes are caught in the same place you draft.

Checking the CV and saving it as a PDF

Before you apply, the app checks the CV for mistakes, according to the listing. This is the last step before you use the document.

When the CV is finished, you download it as a PDF file.
