What Roach Race is and who it suits

Roach Race is a free-to-play side-scrolling platformer from CD PROJEKT RED, built with Crunching Koalas. You run Geralt's horse Roach across a 2D course, jumping and dodging as you go, and your score comes from how far you get.

It suits players who want a short, repeatable game with Witcher series scenery and characters. The listing presents it as a mobile take on the arcade mini-game from Cyberpunk 2077.

Collecting points and surviving the course

Apples and carrots appear along the route and count as power ups. Monsters and traps are the main obstacles, and the points you collect grow the further you travel.

The listing says each loop of the course runs faster than the last, so the same route gets harder to clear the longer you play.

The five maps and the 2D look

The course moves through five maps: Kaer Morhen, Novigrad, Flotsam, Skellige and the Isle of Mists. The listing describes them as landscapes taken from The Witcher games, redrawn in a 2D version it calls new to the series.

Because each map is a different setting, the route changes as you move between them, while the core jump-and-collect loop stays the same.

Global leaderboard and ranking

Scores feed a global leaderboard. The listing names the top 10 as the goal, so the game is built around beating other players' totals rather than a single personal best.

Reaching the top 10 is the only ranking milestone the listing describes.
