What SAS: Zombie Assault 3 is and who it suits
SAS: Zombie Assault 3 is an action shooter from Ninja Kiwi, the studio behind Bloons TD 5. You play an SAS operative dropped into zombie-infested areas, either alone or with three other players. The listing rates it Teen and describes it as free.
It suits players who want a straightforward shooter with a clear goal: clear each area of undead. The listing pitches it at both lone players working through a campaign and groups who want to play together.
Solo play across 17 maps
Single player runs across 17 maps, with the developer listing hundreds of zombies on screen at once. Each map is a separate area to clear, so progress is spread across the whole set rather than one long level.
A newer map, an electronics factory in China, was added in a recent update according to the listing.
Four-player co-op and matchmaking
Co-op supports a squad of four. Matchmaking is set up to pair you with players at a similar level, so you can drop into a game with friends or strangers without choosing a server by hand.
Android and iOS players can join the same games, so a mixed group does not need matching devices.
Ranks, weapons and perks
There are 50 ranks, and each rank unlocks new weapons and perks. The weapon list includes dozens of guns plus special weapons, so the loadout you carry changes as you climb.
Progression is the main reason to keep playing: you rank up, pick up new kit, and take it into the next map or squad match.
Where the game comes from
The game is based on Ninja Kiwi's earlier Flash game. The listing says it was rebuilt and tuned specifically for Android, with balancing work done after millions of plays on the original.
The developer lists ongoing map additions, with the electronics factory being the most recent one named in the listing.
