What Scapia is and who it suits

Scapia is a co-branded credit card, issued by Federal Bank and BOBCARD, that is run from a mobile app. The app covers applying for the card, tracking rewards, and booking travel. The listing states zero joining fees and zero annual fees, and says the application is completed digitally in the app.

The listing aims the card at everyday spenders, frequent travellers, occasional travellers and people who travel abroad. Rewards come from ordinary purchases such as groceries, bills, shopping and UPI payments, not only from travel.

Earning and redeeming Scapia Coins

Card spending earns 10% in rewards on online and offline purchases, and UPI spending earns 5%. The listing says there is no monthly or per-transaction cap on what can be earned. Rewards are paid as Scapia Coins, at 5 coins to ₹1.

Coins are redeemed inside the app against flights, hotels, trains, buses, visas, experiences, trips and shopping. UPI rewards depend on paying with a Scapia RuPay credit card through Scapia Pay.

Using the card for international and online spending

The card carries 0% forex markup, so foreign-currency transactions are not charged a markup on top of the exchange rate. The listing applies this to purchases made while travelling abroad and to international online shopping.

Airport benefits at domestic and international terminals

At domestic airports the listing describes up to ₹1,000 in rewards plus lounge access, on a monthly spend of ₹20,000. The benefits cover dining, shopping and spa as well as lounges.

At international terminals in India, the listing says up to ₹2,000 comes back on eligible flight bookings of ₹50,000 or more made through the app.

Booking trips and adding family cards

The app is also a booking tool. The listing says it can book flights, hotels, trains, buses, visas, experiences and holidays, and that every part of a trip can be managed in one place.

Add-on cards can be issued to family members. The listing says they carry zero forex markup, rewards and access to the full travel booking features.
